Eco-Friendly GMC Terrain



ECO-FRIENDLY GMC TERRAIN

 Just a few features that make the GMC Terrain better for the enviroment.

The GMC Terrain has alot of Eco-Friendly features- Recycled steel, recycled textile insulation and acoustic insulation used from recycled materials.
GMC uses recycled plastic from soft drink and water bottles in the rigid plastic grille frame behind Terrain's unique chrome trimmed grille.
The Terrain is lighter in weight, achieved in part of it's eco-friendly parts,which gives it a higher MPG. That is really important in these times of higher gas prices. Terrain has a leading EPA fuel rate of 32 highway mpg. Celebrate Earth Day, Everyday....

By the numbers, GM:
Has 62 global landfill free operations, and is 87 percent of the way to its 2010 goal of 50 percent landfill-free facilities.  
Recycles or reuses more than 96 percent of manufacturing by-products – more than 2 million tons a year globally.
Reduced its global manufacturing energy demands by nearly 40 percent between 2005-2009.That is enough energy to heat and power 1.33 million homes in the United States. 
"A lot of people here at GM work passionately on ways to make sustainable transportation a reality,” Robinson said. “Others are committed to relentlessly cutting waste in making cars and trucks. By putting these stories on a calendar, we hope people inside and outside GM will begin to understand the breadth of what this company is doing to positively impact the environment.”
