Win Big at BIGGS Cadillac Buick GMC

We, at Biggs Cadillac Buick GMC Truck have heard every negative comment
people can say about our flyers.
"Matt" Moore just won a Brand New 2017 Buick LaCrosse
from Biggs Cadillac Buick GMC.
He brought in his flyer and the numbers were a match.
Congratulations!
"No one ever wins these things." ( Yes they do.)
"I don't want these flyers. Take me off the list." (We are not in control of the list. Its pulled from a national data base)
"It's just a big scam." (If it was a scam, why do people win?)

We understand why people say it. Hard to believe in something for nothing. I mean, the lottery is hard to win and we pay to play it.
"So you keep sending me these flyers and want me to come in and check my numbers on the board to see if I won something."
But! A few lucky winners are going to walk away with something really good.

A few of the winnings have been.
Money -  up to $5,000.00 in cash
John Deere Riding Lawn Tractor
Flat Screen Televisions
A Brand New Car!

Why do we not have more big winners?
Because the winning numbers have not come through our doors and checked the numbers.
Next time you think its a scam. Think again. Someone who has been mailed a flyer has the winning numbers...is it you?

Cadillac's Super Cruise helps defeat sleeping at the wheel.

It is not a wonder as to why we tend to be a bit overwhelmed each day, with all that is required of us on a daily basis. Does your day sound something like:
Get up early
Work out
Take care of the dog
Take care of the kids
Get everyone up and out the door
You get out the door
What did you forget?

Have your list
Have your phone, is it charged
What else?:
How many meetings do you have today
Where are they
What time are you getting home
Are you meeting up with friends/family tonight
What class/meetings do you have this week after work
What about dinner
Where will everyone be tonight

Tired yet?  What if while you are driving, your eyes get a little heavy. You know you can fight it. Power down the window, turn up the radio, chew some gum, drink some coffee. Sometimes all of that just isn't enough. The power of sleep overcomes you, and the inevitable happens. You crash. Whether anyone is hurt or not, it is a dreadful event.

The automotive world is all about the autonomous and semi-autonomous driving technology and General Motors has been working on a Super Cruise system in hopes to be ahead of its domestic competitors and cater to consumers who increasingly are looking for automated driving-assistance features.
The Super Cruise’s eye-tracking tech will enable the system to better monitor whether the driver is paying attention or not. This system is designed to work even when the driver’s head is obscured by, say, sunglasses or a ball cap. The system reads the eye socket and nose to determine whether the driver is alert and looking at the road.

Super Cruise software can detect if a driver is dozing off or not watching the road, and uses audible and visual alerts to grab the person’s attention. If the alerts don’t work, a representative with OnStar  will activate the vehicle’s intercom and communicate with the driver. If the driver still doesn’t respond, the car will pull over on the side of the highway and stop.
Super Cruise driver monitoring is one piece of GM’s approach to a safer self-driving platform. Super Cruise will be limited to highways that have detailed map information available; if the driver leaves the highway, Super Cruise shuts down.

Super Cruise is expected to launch with the 2017 Cadillac CT6, but GM has previously stated it will delay the technology should it require further refinements.

Keep it between the lines,
Be safe.

Cut your Tire Costs

If you drive and own a car, truck or SUV you've been through the sticker shock of pricing tires.
Why do they cost so darn much?
There are two sets of factors to keep in mind about tires.

1] Manage and maintain the tires you have to last as long as possible.

Manage and maintaining your tires:

  • Check your tire treads
  • Keep them on a rotation schedule
  • If uneven wear patterns develop, have the front end checked for problems with your shocks, tie rods, axle bearings, and CV joints. They can all effect your tire wear. You can most often feel it in the way your vehicle is handling and steering
  • If you have hit pot holes or curbs hard, you may need to check your alignment.
  • Monitor your tire pressures. This is the leading cause of badly worn tires.

2] Know how and when to shop for new tires.

Here are a few ways to cut the cost down:

  • Buy 4 tires at once...you save the most this way. Manufacturers offer good rebates when you purchase 4 tires. The rebate can add up to the price of 1 tire.
  • Shop smart. Doing research can save you money. Use Tire Price Match Guarantees along with rebates to get the best price available. Manufacturers offer some of the best rebates on holidays.
  • Don't buy CHEAP tires.. they are cheap for a reason
  • Don't spend too much either. Fancy wheels and tires can be over the top expensive.
  • Don't assume original equipment is the best. Manufacturers may put OEM tires on that will suit the vehicle from Vermont to Arizona conditions. Not necessarily the conditions you drive in. A different tire may be better suited for you.

As always,
Keep it between the lines.

Cadillac's new Crossover | Introducing the Cadillac XT5

Farewell Cadillac SRX you have been a wonderful crossover, but your time is done. Once Cadillac’s best-selling luxury mid-size crossover (released in 2004), has run its course. Set to take its place is the newly unveiled Cadillac XT5, one of Cadillac’s four new crossovers that will bear the XT badge in the coming years.

The XT5 is the second new vehicle released under Cadillac’s new unified classification. The recently released CT6, Cadillac’s new luxury sedan, carries the CT name designation for cars. While Cadillac’s new crossover vehicles will carry the XT label. The XT5 will replace the current crossover, the SRX, with lighter and more efficient materials, more room, a new V6 engine, transmission and shifter, chassis and new technology, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The XT5’s exterior design is modernized, featuring a more aggressive stance, well-rounded presence and sharper lines. While its basic shape and proportion looks similar, the XT5 is larger and wider than the SRX.

When in Drive or Reverse, available Surround Vision provides a bird’s-eye view of your vehicle and the areas immediately surrounding it. This view, projected on the Cadillac CUE screen, gives you a brand new perspective that helps to reduce blind spots and increase your awareness. The available Rear Camera Mirror streams a live, unobstructed view of what’s behind you directly through the rearview mirror. This feature offers 300 percent more vision than an ordinary mirror and it can revert back to normal with the flip of a switch.

The Cadillac XT5 has striking horizontal lines that give it a serious and sporty look. The front end has shorter headlights, large LED daytime running lights. The side profile is longer and more level lines. The rear has some featured design upgrades as well.
The cabin is light, spacious, simple and elegant with strong horizontal lines. The dash is covered in cut-and-sewn pieces, some with both leather and Alcantara contrasting materials. It’s clear that the team worked hard to reduce clutter and create a more refined space. Comfort and practicality are evident as well; rear legroom has been increased by 3.2” and the rear seat reclines and slides forward and backward.

The 3.6L V6 Engine with Eight Speed Automatic Transmission delivers effortless acceleration that takes you to highway speeds quietly and smoothly, while the responsive handling keeps you feeling firmly in control. A smooth ride that you control. Real Time Damping Suspension monitors road and vehicle inputs to help reduce vibrations and maintain a smooth ride over rough roads. And with Driver Select Mode, you can choose between three distinct driving feels: Touring Mode for everyday driving; Snow/AWD Mode for safe handling in inclement weather; and Sport Mode for an exceptionally engaging experience.

The XT5 is 278 pounds lighter than the SRX. (Competitively, it weighs 695 pounds less than the Mercedes-Benz GLE, and 100 pounds less than the Audi Q5. The XT5 is set to compete with the likes of the Lexus RX, BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE-Class.

The 2017 Cadillac XT5 is in stock now at Biggs Cadillac Buick GMC Trucks.

2015 GMC Canyon | Redefining Midsize Trucks

2015 GMC Canyon - Bringing Professional Grade to Midsize Trucks

Want to see more: Click Here

The all-new 2015 Canyon joins GMC’s Professional Grade lineup, redefining the midsize pickup segment. Canyon will deliver class-leading capabilities with GMC signature refinement—all in an efficiently sized package for customers who want the cargo-hauling and trailering versatility of a truck in a more maneuverable package.

Canyon will continue GMC’s longstanding tradition of segment “firsts.” This refined, capable and efficient midsize pickup truck is expected to deliver:

    The segment’s best horsepower—
  • an estimated 193 horsepower from a standard 2.5L I-4 and an estimated 302 horsepower from an available 3.6L V-6
  •     The segment’s best payload of at least 1,450 pounds
  •     The segment’s best maximum trailering rating (when properly equipped) of at least 6,700 pounds
  •     Even greater capability with a powerful and efficient Duramax 2.8L turbo diesel engine coming in 2016

Inside and out, the 2015 Canyon is pure GMC, with a commanding presence and a quiet and comfortable interior featuring premium materials and customer-focused technologies, including available OnStar 4G LTE connectivity with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.

The all-new Canyon available this fall will round out our three-truck strategy and give GMC the most complete truck lineup in the industry.

The interior of the 2015 Canyon is designed to be comfortable, heavily equipped and well connected. A bold, upright instrument panel with large instruments and a central driver information center is similar to Sierra. A center console-mounted shifter is similar to those found in midsize cars and crossovers.

Canyon’s seats are designed for long-haul comfort and wear, too. They use dual-firmness foam for greater comfort on long drives and high-wear, stain-resistant cloth seating trim. A power-adjustable driver’s seat is standard, and heated leather seats are standard on SLT. The All-Terrain package features exclusive color and trim details, including embossed seatbacks and unique contrast stitching.

  • Segment-first CornerStep rear bumper design, pioneered on the 2014 Sierra, is standard
  • Available segment-first EZ Lift-and-Lower locking tailgate that uses an internal torsion bar to make raising the tailgate easier with one hand, and a damper for more-controlled lowering
  • Standard two-tier loading that allows a platform to effectively split the bed into upper and lower sections, making it easier to haul, store and conceal items such as tools
  • Thirteen reconfigurable and four stationary tie-down locations throughout the bed for use with available, removable cargo tie-down rings
  • Standard bed rail and tailgate protectors
  • Available factory-installed spray-in bed liner
  • Range of 16-, 17- and 18-inch aluminum wheels
A diverse collection of work- and lifestyle-supporting accessories will be offered including everything from a bed liner and innovative cargo management system to a custom tonneau cover, removable cargo rings, tool box and more.

2014 GMC Sierra has Arrived!

The 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain has arrived!

The redesigned GMC Sierra pickup is going on sale, this Spring, with V8 engines that GMC claims will get a better fuel economy than the rival Ford F-150 equipped with a turbocharged V6.

The 2014 GMC Sierra gets a base price of $25,085, a $1,495 increase over the current base, rear-drive Sierra with a 6-foot bed.
GMC has redesigned the new truck with the crew cab body style and optional 355-hp, 5.3-liter V8, which adds $895 to the sticker price. GMC expects the 5.3-liter V8 and six-speed automatic transmission powertrain to be the most popular with truck buyers.
Base prices, including shipping charges, for the GMC trucks, with rear-drive and 6-foot beds are:

  • Regular cab: Sierra, $25,085
  • Double cab: Sierra, $29,110
  • Crew cab: Sierra, $33,210
GMC says a rear-drive, regular cab Sierra with the 5.3-liter V8 will deliver 16 mpg city, 23 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined, compared with 16/22/18 mpg for a 2013 Ford F-150 with the 365-hp EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6.
Four-wheel-drive versions of the GMC trucks will be rated at 16/22/18 mpg, compared with 15/21/17 mpg for the comparable Ford F-150.

Later this year the GMC trucks will become available with an optional of a 6.2-liter V8. The V6 and both V8s are all equipped with direct fuel injection, variable valve timing and cylinder cutoff technology to boost fuel economy.
The cylinder cutoff allows the V8s and V6 to run on four cylinders, allowing for greater fuel economy. All Models come with a six-speed automatic transmission.

GMC will give buyers of the GMC Sierra a service maintenance plan that runs for two years or 24,000 miles. The GM trucks use an oil life monitor to alert the driver to the need for an oil change, rather than a preset mileage/month schedule. The current GMC trucks use the same oil life monitor.

While the 2014 GMC Sierra look little-changed from the 2013 model on the outside, several changes to the interior and under the skin were made.

Among them:

  •  The extended cab body style is replaced with a double cab that uses rear doors hinged at the B-pillar and that open toward the front of the truck and can be opened without opening the front door.
  •  The trucks' frame and body use more high-strength steel to reduce weight while increasing stiffness.
  • All versions use electric variable-assist power steering, which reduces load on the engine.
  •  The interiors were redesigned to add more leg room in the rear of double cab and crew cab models. The instrument panels include an optional 4.2-inch monitor that shows vehicle status info.
  •  All trucks get four-wheel disc brakes.
