2012 Buick Regal GS Coming this Fall to Biggs Cadillac Buick GMC

Exclusive Ecotec 2.0L turbocharged engine delivers more launch force than imports

The 2012 Buick Regal GS, will arrive this Fall to Biggs Cadillac Buick GMC, has been SAE-certified to deliver 270 horsepower (201kW) and 295 lb.-ft. of torque (400Nm) for an estimated 0-60 mph performance of 6.7 seconds.
The GS’s engine is mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission, and gets an estimated fuel economy of 28 mpg on the highway. A six-speed automatic transmission will be available later. The entire GS powertrain is covered by a five-year, 100,000-mile warranty.

Regal GS’s exclusive Ecotec 2.0L direct-injected turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers more torque than Acura TSX V-6, Audi A4 Sport, Lexus IS 250 and Volvo S60 T5. Torque is the twisting force that gets a vehicle moving and what the driver feels when accelerating.

“The 2012 Regal GS is well balanced with dynamic ride and handling, powerful brakes, great acceleration and excellent fuel economy,” said Robert Casparian, Regal product marketing manager. “And the fact that one can get such great performance in a gorgeous sport sedan makes it even more attractive.”

Kindness

Have you ever been stranded on the side of the road in your car and wondered how much is this going to cost me -or- how in the heck am I getting home? Did you need gas, a flat fixed, overheated or your car just stopped moving. It either ended in a loud bang noise, or all the dash lights came on, or you slowly rolled to a stop. Sound like something that has happened to you? How do I know…  I’ve been late to work, unable to call home- the cell phone is dead as well or did not have one, not knowing what to do next, that instant small panic attack sets in…what next?
The kindness of people is what happens next. There are some bad lots out there but I have to say the majority are good.
Stranded by a flat tire-one time a young man on a bicycle stopped and helped me get the spare mounted on, and with a gracious thank you, I was off. My transmission line sprung a leak and left me in a quandary and I started to take a 4 mile hike home, when my neighbor happened to see me and went home got his pickup truck and brought my truck and me home. There have been a few times over the years that I have found myself unable to handle breakdowns on my own and have been very thankful that a stranger has granted me help in my time of despair. It is good to know in this world of life gone crazy that we are still surrounded by people with good hearts that are willing to help. We do not seem to have time for anything, always on a schedule that requires 36 hour days and yet someone will take the time to stop and lend a hand.   I try to return the kindness whenever I can. I live by the Golden Rule.”Do unto other as you would have them do unto you”.
Thank you to all of the people out there that have been and are still willing to go the extra mile and lend a hand to someone you don’t know.
We here at Biggs Cadillac are here to help. We want to get you on the road and home as safe as possible. We will  go that extra mile.

Keep it between the lines.  Happy Motoring.

Summer Vehicle Checklist

Summer is finally here . You have your checklist for the road:
 Cooler packed
 Sunglasses
 Suntan Lotion
 Reading Material
 Towels
 Money, Phone

You are ready to go, Right?
Well, have you checked out your ride yet?
It is a BUMMER being stranded on the side of the road because you forgot to get your vehicle checkout for the Summer months.
It doesn't take much to get it checked over and it sure beats the alternative.
Here are a few things you need to check before you head off into the sun and the fun.
My Dad always taught me to check all of the Fluid levels before I headed off. Brake fluid, radiator coolant, oil level, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, windshield wiper fluid, tire pressures, and clean battery terminals.
Here are a few more items to check before you go.

Replace your Air Filter: Your engine needs to breath- if you haven't had it replaced within the last 6 months now is the time.It will save you money.

Tire Check: Make sure you have your tread depth checked- you need to be able to handle the vehicle if you end up on a rainy /slick roadway.  Check your tire pressures, make sure they are correct, this is another money saver.

Replace your windshield wipers: After a cold winter- your wiper blades may not be in the best condition, making them almost useless if you get caught in a summer downpour. Replace them at the beginning of summer and you won't have to worry.

Brake Inspection: When was the last time you had your brakes inspected? If it has been more than 6 months, you want to get them checked. Car safety is a must.

Check your lights: Not just your headlights, but all of them. Turn your lights on and make sure all of your marker lights are working and that your turn signals are flashing. This will keep your visibility at its best.

Radiator Flush: If you haven't had any maintenance done in awhile, you might want to consider having your radiator drained and flushed. A radiator flush once a year is a good way to make sure your vehicle is running cool all year.

Air Conditioner Check: Nothing worse than being stuck in traffic on the road and your a/c stops working. Have it checked out to make sure you can stay COOL.

Please Drive Safe. Don't text, speed or drive drunk. Remember, your loved ones are on the road too.

Keep it between the lines.
